Over the past decade, Karen Day has co-produced and hosted over thirty features for national television. Her exclusive news segments from Baghdad and Myanmar have been featured on NBC Nightly News. The Plum TV series, "Women With A Cause: Carole King" earned the 2009 Idaho Press Club Award for Best Independent Television Environmental Program and and Independent TV series Emmy. Day has co-produced eleven documentaries, including : "Conversations For Peace With The Dalai Lama: Ethics For A New Millennium" and, "Learning To Be Different", about the extraordinary work of the Lee Pesky Learning Center empowering children with learning disabilities. Actress and literacy advocate, Jamie Lee Curtis narrates this film. Her latest documentary on South Sudan, "Between the Earth and Sky" was produced in collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital Division of Global Health and Human Rights and chosen to open the 2012 Sun Valley Film Festival. Film critic, George Prentice, reviewed the film as " and a delicately crafted masterpiece... and an uplifting chronicle of the first generation of physicians in the newest nation in the world." Summer of 2012, Karen returns to Africa to produce "From the Ground Up" a documentary on an inspiring grassroots project of Harvard undergrads that is successfully reducing child malnutrition in Uganda.
